Everyone knows that a variable-frequency motor is a type of asynchronous motor, and we also know that asynchronous motors can be controlled using a frequency inverter. But here’s the question: if a standard asynchronous motor can be driven by a frequency inverter, does that automatically make it a variable-frequency motor? The answer is definitely no.
